You do not need to give us your email address. If you choose to send yourself a copy, it is delivered directly to you. We do not receive your deed poll or any personal details from it.

Your details stay in your browser

The PDF is generated on your device. Your name, address, and witness details are never sent to us. If you choose to email yourself a copy, your email address is processed by our delivery provider (Resend) to send it.

No mailing lists. No marketing.

We do not add you to any mailing list or send follow-up emails. This is a one-time tool with no strings.

Do not sign without witnesses present

Your deed poll is not legally valid unless both witnesses watch you sign. Do not sign first and ask witnesses to countersign later.

Witnesses cannot be family members

Witnesses must be adults (18+), not related to you, and not living at your address. A family member's signature will not make the deed poll valid.

Print on plain A4. Use permanent ink.

Do not use pencil, erasable ink, or correction fluid. Print on plain white A4 paper. No decorative or coloured paper.

Keep your original safe

Make several certified copies before sending anything off. Organisations keep a copy and will not return it.

What we collect: If you request email delivery, we process your email address and your selected reason (anonymously — no name attached). Your name, address, and witness details are generated and stored on your device only and are never sent to us. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Data processors: Resend Inc. (email delivery — resend.com/legal/privacy-policy). If you download or email your deed poll, the PDF library (jsPDF) is loaded from Cloudflare CDN — Cloudflare receives your IP address as part of that request. No third-party resources are loaded on page open.

Retention: Email addresses are used for delivery only and are not stored in a database by us.

Your rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data, and the right to object to our legitimate interests. To exercise any right, email changenames@tourd.co.uk.
